Oro Studios offers a fresh new concept in the decorative finishing industry.
Partners Teri Althouse, Linda Kimble, and David McKendry bring over 50 years
of combined experience, along with their diverse talents and passions for
art, to their state of the art educational and distribution facilities located in
Denver, Colorado and Ft Lauderdale, Florida. The three national award
winning artists share their experience and talents with students at both
locations, while combining their successful decorative finishing businesses
to form a collaboration of talented artists working together to achieve the
highest of standards in decorative finishing.
Oro Studios draws its name from the word meaning “gold” in both
Italian and Spanish. The name specifically references the legendary
Pala d’Oro in the Basilica di San Marco in Venice. Universally
recognized as one of the most refined and accomplished crafted works of the
middle ages, this decorative alter piece sculpted from gold, precious jewels,
and enamel attracts art lovers and historians from all over the world.
The name is especially meaningful for Oro Studios faculty and students, who
aspire to craft beautiful, functional, and lasting works in the homes of
their clients.
